UAE: A fixed-term contract does not automatically mean full payment of the remaining term
In the UAE, current employment contracts are fixed-term, but ending the contract before its expiry does not automatically mean the employee receives all salaries for the remaining contract period.
In many cases, the applicable issue is the notice period or notice pay under the contract and law, while end-of-service gratuity, unpaid salaries, unused leave and other dues are calculated separately.
For this reason, HRMATO does not automatically add the full remaining contract period when UAE is selected. Any notice pay or agreed compensation should be entered manually under allowances/additions if applicable.
- UAE contract type is shown as fixed term only.
- The contract end date is shown as reference information.
- The remaining contract term is not automatically added to the total.
- Notice pay or special agreed compensation can be entered manually as an addition if applicable.
