This glossary helps workers and HR teams understand the terms used in HRMATO calculators and templates across Kuwait, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

| End of Service Benefit | Gratuity / Indemnity | The amount due at the end of employment, depending on the country, service period and end reason. |
| Actual / Gross Wage | Gross Salary | Salary including fixed or recurring allowances where the applicable country rule uses it. |
| Basic Salary | Base Salary | Salary excluding allowances; especially important for UAE gratuity calculation. |
| Notice Pay | Notice Period Compensation | Compensation related to the notice period if it is not served fully or partially. |
| Final Settlement | End-of-employment settlement | A statement covering EOS, unpaid salaries, leave pay, additions and deductions. |
